Harvey Weinstein sentenced to 23 years in prison for ‘May To’ campaign

Harvey Weinstein, the notorious Hollywood filmmaker and more than 80 women accused of sexual assault and harassment, was sentenced to 23 years in prison.

Harvey Weinstein, 67, was charged February 24 last month with two women on charges of third-degree rap and first-degree criminal sexual activity.

Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexually harassing his former production assistant, Mamie Haley, in 2006 while the second was a sexual assault with Jessica Mann, an actress who wanted to work in 2013. I pleaded softly, saying that his client would be sentenced to at least 5 years, but the New York court rejected Harvey Weinstein’s plea and sentenced him to 23 years in prison.

At a previous hearing on February 24, the court acquitted Harvey Weinstein of the most serious charge – habitually or as a victim of sexual harassment for a woman who could face life in prison.

British comedian and musician Rachel Sarah have said in response that Harvey has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for what he has done, but he also says it is a clear message to all these powerful people and to them. It must be understood that the world is changing.

Canadian human rights activist Farah Khan says the decision should be repeated to everyone so that everyone knows that sexual abuse is not premature but has long-lasting effects.
